We had a great time last week during Education Week. On Thursday night we had SO many visitors to our classroom to check out all our great work and play the games we have been busy making. Then we headed to the Multi-Purpose Room to sing "You've Got a Friend In Me". The 2A children made terrific hosts, and their singing was fantastic!

Over the past week and a bit the students in 2A have been busy getting to know each other and talking about what we love about coming to school.
Everyone has been working very hard and we are getting ready to celebrate the end of our CALC (Creating a Learning Community) unit with a special tabloid sports day on Thursday and with a song at assembly on Friday. Come and see us singing if you can!

WATER
Water is good. Water is great. Water is a Battle of the Brains group.
I drink water. I swim in water. I wash myself in water. I can't last without water. Water. Water. Water. People say it is blue. IT IS NOT!! It is clear. Water. Water. Water. It has no flavour if it comes from the tap. BUT. It is refreshing. Mmmmm......Mmmmmm.....Mmmmm....

Assembly
Nana played the piano at assembly this morning. She played Nocturne by Chopin and we were very impressed by her amazing skills as a pianist. She has been learning since she was in Prep and is practising very hard for her Grade Eight exam later on in the year. Good Luck Nana, I am sure you will do very well. It was lovely to see some special visitors come to watch her play.

Aussie of the Month
Yippee!!!! We are so super excited that Nana was awarded Kerrimuir's Aussie of the Month for May.
This is what we said about her:
Nana is helpful and kind to others, especially as our Japanese expert.
She completes her work on time.
She has good sportsmanship and always gives things a go.
She is resilient and brave.
She is organised, she always keeps her tub tidy and keeps track of her belongings.
Nana always has a lovely smile and is cheerful and friendly.
Keep it up Nana, you are a star!!!

Circus Skills
On Tuesday 3rd of May our class started circus skills. On our first lesson we did the spinning plates, Diablo and huge hula-hoops. I thought the Diablo was fun but I'm not good at it. The hoops was fun as well it was hard for me to do tricks. And the plates were quite simple for me because I have plates at home and I practise a lot.
